Hubble Deep Field: The Most Important Image Ever Taken

With so many important celestial objects to look at, one wonders why the Hubble Telescope would be aimed at "empty space" to look at nothing but darkness. But are the areas of darkness we see in between the stars in our night sky really empty?

This excellent video tells the story of Hubble deep field images, and why they may be the most important images ever recorded.
